ndosat to spend half of 2006 profit on dividend payments

State telecommunication operator PT Indosat Tbk has decided to set aside 50 percent of its 2006 net profit totaling Rp1.41 trillion to pay devidends, a spokesman said.

One percent of the remaining net profit would be used for capital reserves and 49 percent for reinvestment, Wong Heang Tuck said here on Tuesday.

The company will pay a dividend of Rp129.75 per share. (*)
