The Government has agreed to provide conditioned support for a portable computer production project of the Compal Group from Taiwan.
A document released by the Government Office on June 22 specifies that the project will be exempted from land rent during its operational period and from corporate income tax for 10.
However, the Taiwanese company is required to use mostly made-in-Viet Nam components for assembling its products.
The company is also asked to meet requirements related to its technology and component suppliers, VNA reported.(*)
